Today has been a trying day.
As in,
i am TRYING to be patient;
i am TRYING to teach a kid how to pee in a potty;
i am TRYING to be healthy and fit;
i am TRYING to stay slightly sane;
i am TRYING to be loving to my kid while she is screaming bloody murder;
i am TRYING to read the bible and then actually behave the way it teaches;
i am TRYING to be patient (um, i had to say that one twice for a reason);
i am TRYING to avoid reading 'the big red barn' for the eighteenth time today;
but, do you really expect me to say no to this face?

and please try to remember you are a normal person with only the amount of patience you can handle.
The patience we lack.....tends to come to us...just in the nick of time.
I miss you... and our therapy sessions!!
ollie loves "the big red barn" too! i read it ALL day . . .
and what? you're trying to potty train her? you're insane. i just potty-trained macy and she's 3 1/2!
They are so demanding right now, aren't they? At the end of the day just remember that they, too, are "trying"-- trying to learn everything there is to know in their environment; trying to figure out why they need to pee in a potty; trying to figure out how to express their emotions; trying to "learn" how to read their own book by having it read to them; trying to figure out why it is that we get upset when they are simply trying to convey some sort of message. It's hard, but yes, you gotta love them! :) I'm with ya sista!!! You're only human...
Funny, I've never said no to that face... But that's what eccentric fun aunts are for. Hee hee.
