Monday Top Ten: My sister Amy

I am a big fan of lists. You may have noticed if you ever read this blog.

So, in honor of me, I present to you the first in what may or may not become a series (depending on how consistent I am, which is not very)

**ok, Stacey, get to the point already**

MONDAY TOP TEN!!!!

For my introductory MONDAY TOP TEN, I shall list ten ways my sister Amy totally rules.

1. She recorded this:
http://ksolo.myspace.com/ms/showSong.do?sid=27191&rid=593884&uid=5189710

You had better click on that link, people. It was a collaboration on a very fantastic song. If you
have ever been pregnant, known someone who's been pregnant, or think about being pregnant
someday - you MUST listen.

My favorite line: "so fellas, fellas, do single guys make you jealous"?

2. She wants to have a million kids.

3. Amy is the most wild girl I know.

4. She is just like me in this way: writes really thoughtful cards, then lets them sit there for (months) forgetting to mail them all the way at that danged post office.

5. Amy swore she was going to be the first female blue angel. Too bad she joined the wrong defense department. If anybody could be an AirForce Blue Angel, however, it would be her.

6. Amy is an excellent grammaritarian. And a fabulous grammarologist. Oh, and she is very super-calla-fragi-listic-expi-grammar-nazi-docious.

7. No one has ever hung up on me as many times as Amy.

8. She can play a million rounds of cribbage.

9. Amy has legs that go for days....

...and days

... and days

.... and, well, you get the picture, right?

10. My sister Amy rules quite a bit. She also rules because she is the youngest of 5 sisters, and only ever got to boss around one measly brother.

I love my sister Amy.

Buh-Bye.

Jane, standing in the driveway, the night the
Soledad Fire started.

Me & Blaine
at the Giants game in August

Yes, this post has no direction and no meaning.

Just sharing a couple photos for your pleasure. Cause, get this - we are MOVING!! DSL doesn't get set up until Wednesday. I am not about to try to type up a blog post on the iPhone. I mean, it rules, but there is a line.

Happy weekend! If you are bored, please swing by and carry a couple boxes inside!

Love,
Stacey

Packing and Other Interesting Moments of My Day.

No photos today folks.

Just me.

I am tired of packing. Although, I managed to pack 8 boxes of kitchen crap (um, stuff I mean). I also finished Jane's closet, the guest room closet, and the hall closet. Unless you all are semi-but-trying-not-to-be packrats like me, let me enlighten you to some objects found during this exercise:

1. Motorola "flip-phone" circa 1997.

2. Trophies circa 1994, 1995, 1996 & 1997. So, i lied about the photos. I just remembered that I did take some pics of these. That way I can scrapbook a flat little layout about my glory days rather than move, unpack, then hoard these shiny remembrances of days gone by in one more house. No more Al Bundy "back in my day".... they are officially in the trash.

3. My box of 'happy thoughts'. This is a little cardboard box that I have been dropping in notes, well-wishes, and kind comments for the last several years. When I feel like a steaming pile of dog crap I just pull out this box, channel my inner Stuart Smalley, and read a few (or dozens depending on the day) of these nice things people have said/written about/to me. I appreciate you guys.

4. spiders. in boxes. Yuck.

5. My danish collectors plates - maybe I'll actually put them up in my real-live dining room!

6. Papers and old college books (but only the ones I got good grades on. Cause let's face it, the bad ones aren't going in the "happy thoughts" box.

7. Snow boots (I bought for $20 and didn't work on my first trip to visit Amanda in Germany).

8. Disco ball.

9. High School dance photos - I totally need these, right? Maybe I should just scan them and add them to this blog..... Robin, would you love it?

10. Weights. For my home exercise routines. Do 'em all the time. So, why are they so dusty?

11. Sewing machine. Maybe I'll use it again someday soon - to make another halloween costume?

12. Lots of other crap. OOOORRR, actually super high-quality stuff that will soon arrive at the Salvation Army.

Ahh, I am all ready to tackle another area of the house for packing now!

Pop Rocks & Soda

Parker's 2nd Birthday was celebrated again on their California vacation. True, this was over a month ago. I just thought it necessary and totally desirable to advertise that Blaine was at Chuck-E-Cheese. Maybe for the first time ever. Maybe even enjoying himself. You be the judge:

Blaine, Burt, and Jason

Amanda, feeding 2-year-old-birthday-boy POP ROCKS AND SODA. For real. She's the best mom ever.

Parker J. Evans

Here's photographic evidence that I do, in fact, exist. My brother Burt is in lust with my Nikon D-60, and took almost all of these photos. So just go ahead and give him the photographic credits for gems such as these:

Stacey E. Wilson, esquire (ok, not really)

Do you see that guy in the green shirt? Is that a smile on his face? Hmmmm.... What do you think? Could there have been fun had that day?

Trevor and Jane were back and forth between the fire truck and tractor. Um, she was doing the driving. Of course.

Miss Jane and T-rev

All in all, it was a super-pleasant day (minus the nasty pizza that I managed to choke down 8 or so slices of).

Love & Peace,
S-Dub

Dear Cousin Patty,

Dear the one other person who reads my blog,

Are you Robin? Are you Jamie? We'll see.

P.S. Check out my awesome scrapbook desk. It is covered with love (and scrap crap).
