Just DANCE (dance, da-ance)

I was just sitting down for 30 seconds, and thinking:

"really, what do I have to complain about?"

Seriously...

I have a husband who: is pretty danged handsome, works hard, brings home the bacon (in more ways than one... like, literally: brings home dead pigs), doesn't get ALL bend out of shape when the laundry ain't done or the house ain't perfect (or my grammar AIN'T fantastic), and he truly loves me.

I have a kid who: is pretty danged cute, gives me kisses all the time (just don't mind the slobber), wants me to hold her a lot, follows me around the house (even bangs on the bathroom door the ENTIRE time I am doing my business), and truly loves me.

I have me: who is pretty danged adorable, lots of ideas running through my brain, and God truly loves me.

I have friends, (yay for Yvonne and her 5am running wake-up calls), family who are ku-koo but really help each other out, and my health: heck, I have enough time, energy, and breath to write this silly little blog that no-one really reads but me!

Life is Good.

And, that's why, when there is music playing - just follow this little munchkin's lead &

JUST DANCE (oh, o-oh, just dance - dance - dance)

My new hair:

It is pretty short!

And super blonde!

And I totally love it!

Please remind me that this hair-do is what I pre-planned, researched, took out an opinion poll on, and thought would be the bomb....

I can't get it to look remotely like this.

And it is all fluffy.

And it will not fit into a ponytail.

Just remind me that it totally looked adorable when I left the salon.

Googling Jim Cheatham, Showcopter

I just found this video someone made for my dad

you will find a ton of videos from airshows!

It is weird, because - you know that part of the show when he does a

helicopter lesson and talks from the cockpit? - well, of course you

can hear his voice, which is cool/sad/etc...

Copying robin with hairstyle questions.

Option One: 

totally fluffy.  

Put my hair in curlers every night.

Super Blonde.

Option Two:

Use Hair straightener every day.

Get surgically enhanced smile.

be super cute.

Option Three:

A little bit longer.

Still really smooth.

Long bang: try to figure out how to style.

Option Four:

Total butt-rocker

Never have to use a flat iron.

Need 2 rubber bands.

Become a dude.

This is a really tough decision.  I need your feedback by Tuesday at 10 am.  That is when I am going under the knife.

Yeah, i know.  Not really the most uplifting page. 

But one I really needed to get done for my own sanity.

I still have more journaling I will pump out on another page regarding this whole tumultuous time surrounding the sudden death of my beloved father.  (had a tough morning watching the tribute video again)

Challenge 2009 - #1

So here we go!

My FIRST EVER scrapbooking web challenge!  

DID I MENTION THERE WILL BE A PRIZE?!?

Cousin P and I were talking about how we are stuck at home today (me w/ a sick-o kid-o and she with a 36 week preggo belly & major BH contractions).  So, I issued her the following challenge: I would send her a photo of my most recent scrapbook page and she would draw inspiration from it to create her own page.  And vice versa.

So, will you play along?

You don't even have to scrapbook!  You can participate in one of the following ways: just leave a comment with:

1. a link to a photo of your kid with a fabulous face;

2. a link to a photo of your best scrapbook page lately;

3. a link to a photo of your take on a scrapbook page that drew inspiration from mine; or

4. a great story about your kid being stinky.

The contest will run through the time I check my blog tomorrow (around 9:00 PST).  I will choose a winner randomly by drawing a number from a hat.
